Chemotherapy, radiation, follow-up appointments, and diagnostic tests require consistent attendance, and for patients facing financial hardship, getting to and from the hospital can become an insurmountable obstacle.<\/p><p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\">The Harold &amp; Carole Pump Foundation addresses this directly through its Transportation Assistance Program, which provides funded rides to and from the hospital for cancer patients who have no reliable means of travel. The program removes a barrier that, left unaddressed, can interrupt treatment, delay diagnoses, and worsen outcomes.<\/p><p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\">In 2025, the Foundation provided 1,238 transportation trips for patients in need. That number represents over a thousand moments where a patient got to their appointment on time, received their treatment, and kept moving
